The Deck Garage: Twin Power!

Today's article deals with the gemini monsters, a unique set of monsters introduced in Tactical Evolution. They act as normal monsters while on the field or graveyard until second summoned. After being second summoned, they gain powerful effects as well as being treated as effect monsters. This unique ability to switch between being a normal monster and an effect monster gives them synergy with far more support cards than normal effect monsters may have.

This deck is based around Superalloy Beast Raptinus and Blazewing Butterfly. Superalloy Beast Raptinus causes your gemini monsters to immediately become effect monsters without being second summoned, while Blazewing Butterfly is very handy for getting out your larger Gemini monsters.

Monsters:
3 Gemini Summoner
3 Future Samurai
3 Dark Valkyria
2 Gemini Lancer
3 Blazewing Butterfly
3 Chthonian Emperor Dragon
2 Infinity Dark
3 UFO Turtle
1 Phoenix Gearfried*

Spells:
2 Double Summon
2 Foolish Burial
2 Swing of Memories
3 Dragon's Mirror
1 Heavy Storm
1 Mystical Space Typhoon
1 Future Fusion
1 Monster Reborn
1 Fissure
1 Smashing Ground

Traps:
2 Justi-Break
2 Gemini Trap Hole
1 Mirror Force
1 Torrential Tribute

Extra Deck:
3 Superalloy Beast Raptinus

* (This card is to come out in a later structure deck. Its name may be subject to change)

Phoenix Gearfried is a card which comes out in a later structure deck. Here is its effect:

This card is treated as a Normal Monster while face-up on the field or in the Graveyard. While this card is face-up on the field, you can Normal Summon it to have it be treated as an Effect Monster with this effect:
● Each time your opponent activates a Spell Card(s), Special Summon 1 Gemini monster from your graveyard. Also, you can send 1 face-up Equip Card you control to the Graveyard to negate the activation of a Spell or Trap Card that targets a monster on the field.

It's very handy for swarming the field; however, it is a two-tribute monster, so I have only put one copy of it in this deck. You'll be getting it out mostly through Blazewing Butterfly.
The monsters are pretty standard. You'll be relying on Blazewing Butterfly a lot, so I've put in three copies of UFO Turtle to ensure that you get it early on.

Blazewing Butterfly is your key monster. It combos well with many other cards in this deck. Using Foolish Burial or Future Fusion, you can send Chthonian Emperor Dragon or Phoenix Gearfried to the graveyard, then revive them with Blazewing Butterfly. With Swing of Memories, you can bring it back, second summon it, then use its effect to revive another Gemini.

Chthonian Emperor Dragon is capable of dishing out a lot of damage with its double attack ability; you'll want to use Blazewing Butterfly to get this monster out, most of the time.

Foolish Burial is very handy as a search tool; use it to send gemini monsters to the graveyard, then revive them with Swing of Memories, Blazewing Butterfly or Phoenix Gearfried.

Future Fusion serves three main purposes; firstly, you can use it to send two Gemini monsters to the graveyard for revival. Secondly, it's an excellent card to use in order to bring out Superalloy Beast Raptinus. And finally, it gets you the materials you need in order to use Dragon's Mirror.

With a fusion requirement of just two gemini monsters, Superalloy Beast Raptinus is one of the easiest monsters to fusion summon. Dragon's Mirror is here to take advantage of this easy fusion.

Justi-Break is the normal monster version of Mirror Force, and is here to take advantage of the normal-typing of Gemini monsters.

This deck works best when you use Foolish Burial and Future Fusion to send Chthonian Dragon to the graveyard. Then, you can use Blazewing Butterfly to revive it with its effect, and attack multiple times.

That's all for this week's article! Come back next week for some more.
